The Telstar Hotel ~ going 'green'

At the Telstar Hotel, we aim to be environmentally responsible and are open to our guests educating us further with their ideas.

Below is a list of our 'green' policies :-

Waste

All recyclables are recycled.
We use natural ecover products when cleaning.
Our printer uses 100% recycled paper and we re-use all plastic bags.
We use refillable soaps and bubble bath in the bedrooms and black bin liners made from recyclable plastic.
Our business cards are made from 100% recycled card and our post cards from 50% recycled card.

Energy ~ saving

We use energy saving light bulbs.
We use local suppliers to cut down on the fossil fuels consumed by delivery vehicles.
We ensure that we have full loads of laundry before a machine is switched on and we wash at 30°C.
Our tumble dryer (which is only used on rainy days) stores water from the laundry; we re-use this to water plants.
We offer information on a wide range of activities and alternative transport (please see our 'On your doorstep' page or contact us for further information).
